1. Measure your space: Enter the exact length and width of the concrete area you plan to stain.

2. Select Surface & Stain Type: Choose the finish of your concrete and the type of stain you are using. The calculator automatically adjusts for porosity and absorption rates.

3. Adjust Coats & Pricing: Select your desired number of coats and input local material costs for an accurate budget estimate.

4. Review & Export: Check the real-time 3D visualization and result box. Click "Download Report" to save a branded PDF for your records or contractor.

Area Calculation: Area = Length × Width

Effective Coverage: Base Coverage Rate × Surface Porosity Multiplier

Stain Volume: (Area ÷ Effective Coverage) × Number of Coats × (1 + Waste %)

Sealer Volume: (Area ÷ Sealer Coverage) × 2 Coats × (1 + Waste %)

Total Cost: (Stain Volume × Stain Price) + (Sealer Volume × Sealer Price)

Cleanliness: Surface must be completely free of dirt, grease, oil, and previous sealers.

Curing: New concrete must cure for at least 28 days before applying any stain.

Test Patch: Always apply a small test patch in an inconspicuous area to verify color reaction.

Acid Stain Neutralization: If using acid-based stain, you must neutralize the surface with a baking soda/water solution after the chemical reaction completes.

Sealing: Apply sealer within 24 hours of staining to protect the color and enhance durability.
